Cooling towers in cold regions should take anti-freezing measures in accordance with the following requirements:
1.Facilities to prevent water droplets from splashing out should be installed at the air inlet.
2.When there are a large number of cooling towers in the same circulating cooling water system, it is advisable to reduce the number of operating cooling towers. For the collection tanks of the cooling towers that have stopped running, a certain amount of hot water circulation should be maintained or other insulation measures should be taken.
3.Measures such as reducing the installation Angle of the fan blades, stopping the operation of some fans, and selecting fans that allow reverse rotation can be adopted.
4. Hot water de-icing pipes should be installed at the upper and lower edges of the air inlet and at areas prone to icing. The flow rate of hot water in the de-icing pipes should be compatible with the requirements for anti-freezing and de-icing.
5. Set up bypass water pipes that can pass part or all of the circulating water volume. When the operation is in winter or the heat load is low, the circulating water can directly enter the collection tank through the bypass.
6.In winter, a wind shield can be added to the air inlet.
