Ideal method for energy conservation and emission reduction of cooling towers
Waste heat generated in industrial production or refrigeration processes is generally diverted by cooling water. The function of a cooling tower is to exchange heat between the cooling water carrying waste heat and the air in the tower, so that the waste heat is transmitted to the air and dispersed into the atmosphere. The most important aspect of circulating cooling water treatment is to solve the scaling and corrosion problems of heat exchange equipment. Scaling affects heat exchange efficiency, consumes more energy, and affects process operation.

Corrosion can reduce the service life of equipment and pose potential safety hazards. In order to prevent scaling and corrosion, phosphorus based formula water treatment technology has been vigorously promoted in recent years, effectively controlling scaling and corrosion.

However, there are problems that cannot be ignored with phosphorus based reagents:
1, Phosphorus is a nutrient substance that promotes the multiplication of bacteria, algae, and microorganisms in the water system. Not only has chlorination and various types of fungicides become necessary, but also a large amount of wastewater containing phosphorus and fungicides has been discharged, exacerbating environmental water pollution and eutrophication, becoming a public hazard.
2, The retention time of phosphorus based formulations in the system is limited, resulting in hydrolysis to calcium phosphate scale, and low concentration ratio of circulating water, which is not conducive to water conservation. The situations listed above are not exhaustive, but they reflect the complex characteristics of daily maintenance of cooling towers. The industrial circulating cooling water consumption is large and there are many industries. Due to different working conditions, the requirements for circulating water treatment vary from industry to industry. But the most fundamental thing is to solve the problems of scaling, corrosion, and wastewater pollution. As China is a country short of water, especially in the north, the adoption of water-saving water treatment technology is beneficial to enterprises, society, and the country.
