By leveraging the counter-flow principle-where air rises vertically through the fill against the downward flow of water-it achieves intimate air-water contact, maximizing heat transfer efficiency and approaching the wet-bulb temperature of the ambient air. Its modular design enables seamless capacity scaling and simplifies installation, making it the ideal solution for both greenfield projects and retrofits.
Core Working Principle
Distribution Stage:
Heated process water is pumped to the top distribution basin, where precision nozzles uniformly spray it over the high-efficiency fill media.
Heat Exchange Stage:
As water cascades down the fill, ambient air is drawn upward through the tower by a high-performance fan system. The counter-current contact creates a large heat and mass transfer surface area, where evaporation removes latent heat from the water, cooling it rapidly.
Separation & Collection Stage:
A low-drift eliminator removes entrained water droplets from the exhaust air, minimizing water loss. The cooled water collects in the bottom basin and is recirculated back to the process or HVAC system, while hot, humid air is discharged at the top.
